Bally Haly Golf Club relocates to former Clovelly Golf Club property in St. John’s
Rebranded Bally Haly Country Club at Clovelly Estates expected to open in May

St. John’s, NL’s Bally Haly Country Club is leaving its historic location in the city’s east end to occupy the former Clovelly Golf Club property. The club is being rebranded the Bally Haly Country Club at Clovelly Estates.
The move has reduced the number of golf courses in the St. John’s area to six from seven. Golf Newfoundland and Labrador’s executive director has stated this makes the golf market more sustainable, feeling there were too many courses in play for its market.
The semi-private golf course is expected to open for play next month. The Clovelly property is about twice the size of the former Bally Haly property and features both a championship and executive-length course.
The move is seen as a land swap with the former Clovelly owners acquiring the former Bally Haly property.
