Water rises to seven feet on field

The Ontario Blue Jays baseball program is throwing its support behind the Abbotsford Cardinals, whose home field and training centre have been ravaged by British Columbia’s floodwaters. Water has reached heights of seven feet inside and outside the B.C. Premier Baseball League team’s facility, forcing the club to purchase new turf, pitching machines, batting cages, pitching mounds, screens and other necessities.
