Axed Parliament Hill elm lives on in grafted saplings

May 16, 2019 – Although it was killed off last month in a mire of controversy, the historic elm tree at Parliament Hill will live on in saplings being nurtured at the University of Guelph. Before the tree was cut down, about 100 twigs were removed and sent to the university as part of its Elm Recovery Project.
