Artificial turf/dome sports field project under consideration by Airdrie, Alta. city council

An air-supported dome has been proposed for an artificial turf field project in Airdrie, Alta. that could allow for year-round use. Council recently heard that such a field project at Ed Eggerer Place could be enclosed by a dome structure during the winter months, allowing for continuous play beyond the traditional spring, summer and fall period. The proposed cost of the project is likely to be between $10 million and $15 million.
