Armstrong joins Toro Company

The Toro Company of Bloomington, Minn. has announced the hiring of Dean Armstrong as the company's golf irrigation sales manager for Canada.thumb_deanweb

Armstrong comes to Toro from Hunter Irrigation, where he was the sales manager for Eastern Canada and was responsible for overseeing Hunter’s residential-commercial business in Eastern Canada.

His responsibilities with Toro will include all aspects of the golf irrigation business in the Canadian market. He will work directly with Toro’s golf irrigation distributor partners and with the sales, marketing and engineering teams in Minneapolis and Riverside, Calif. He will report directly to Barry Cochrane, general sales manager for Canada.

Armstrong is a graduate of the University of Guelph where he earned a bachelor of commerce honours degree. He has worked in many facets of the irrigation industry in Canada, both at the manufacturer and the distributor level.

He presently resides in Cambridge, Ont. with his wife Robin and their sons Carter and Dryden.
Armstrong succeeds Peter Laverne, longtime golf irrigation sales manager for Canada, who recently announced his retirement.
