Aphids creating sticky mess on Vancouver’s lindens

Linden trees in Vancouver’s west end have become a sticky mess of late, thanks to the handiwork of aphids. About 10,000 of the trees were planted from the 1980s until the early 2000s without the knowledge that the insects were particularly attracted to the species.
