Another disaster in Fort McMurray as flooding, ice take toll on golf courses
Spilled over ice chunks tearing up greens, fairways

First, it was a series of horrific wildfires and then came this spring’s COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Fort McMurray, Alta. is facing yet another crisis – the flooding of the Clearwater and Athabasca rivers which has forced the evacuation of about 15,000 residents. The disaster has left the town’s two golf courses under water along with large blocks of ice wreaking havoc on greens and fairways.
