Animal advocate says there’s a better way to control geese populations without culls

Advocates against Canada geese culls say a more effective measure to control bird populations in municipal parks and green spaces is to modify their habitat through landscape changes. Killing the birds only creates more space for other geese to move in, says Jordan Reichert of the Animal Alliance of Canada. Municipalities, golf courses and other caretakers of green spaces have long fought a battle against increased populations of Canada geese and the messes they make.
