Altered Doon Valley golf holes will keep current distances as course takes safety measures

Although errant golf balls rarely leave Kitchener’s Doon Valley Golf Course and find their way onto Highway 401, measures are being taken to ensure it never happens. With two holes running parallel with the highway, and with it currently being widened, the first and eighth holes’ alignment is being altered and the greens relocated so that motorists don’t encounter stray golf balls. The changes are being made to maintain current distances.
