$330,000 earmarked for monitoring of brownfield site

Former Orillia factory site being developed into recreation centre

A new $55.5-million recreation centre being developed at an Orillia brownfield site is carrying an extra financial burden. An additional $330,000 is being paid for on and off-site monitoring of the property that was once a factory. The city will also put up another $290,000 for soil additives to improve the organic composition of Foundry Park.
